Summary

The workshop is to build an open source robotic arm that can be used for Pick and Place tasks. The students will have the pre-lasercut robot parts made of acrylic, they will be able to assemble all parts together with electronics and servo motors.

What You'll Need

  1. Robotic Arm laser cut acrylic parts, 3mm acrylic.
  2. screw drivers
  3. Arduino Uno
  4. Servo motors
  5. Bread board
  6. Power supply, 5-6V, 2A
  7. Nuts M3, #75
  8. Screws M3, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 20mm, #25each
  9. Marker
  10. Laptop
  11. Male-Male Jumpers.

Robot assembly/ Base Building

The base of the Robot will be built based on below pictures.

Assemble all parts of the left Side, Pictures below.

Connect parts of the Right side together.

Middle part will be built in this step

The left side will be attached to the middle side.

Attach Right

The right part will be attached to the previous parts in step 6.

Attach to middle and left forearm

In this step the previous parts will be attached to the middle part and add the left forearm.
