Summary

This is a one-hour online lesson, therefore we will be teaching participants about 3D design and is its importance in relating to modern gold accessories manufacturing. So, they will be introduced to Tinkercad software and learn the basics of 3D design to create a 3D accessory that has traditional designs and patterns.

Laptops, Internet connection, and Tinkercad accounts

The Instructions

3D Gold Accessories

Show participants different digital manufacturing gold accessories. Introduce some jewelry from the Qatari heritage, which is distinguished by being made of gold and pearls. Show video about digital manufacturing accessories and 3d printing. Introduce different types of design software and their functions. Explain parametric design.

Start the session with a problem that needs to be solved at the end of the session 

 

 

 

 

Introduce to participants nervous system and let them explore it to customize some accessories.

During working on the design demonstrate to them what is meant by parametric design.
