Ellie graduated from MIT in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. She worked as a Microsoft Hardware Design Engineer for 2 years. She started mentoring FIRST Robotics Teams, and realized her passion was for teaching. She developed the Robotics Engineering CTE Pathway for Berkeley High School in California, taught Intro to Robotics Engineering, and helped found a FIRST Robotics Team. After moving to New Orleans, she worked as an instructor for the Electric Girls. She became the manager of Fab Lab NOLA in December of 2018.
