Use a breadboard to assemble components to ensure that all electronically components are functioning correctly.
Use included wiring diagrams and breadboard to assemble electrical components. Upload “TFTscreenCheck” code to Arduino to ensure that all electrical components are working correctly.
Solder components according to the provided wiring diagram.
Repeat Step 1. Only this time, students will be using perf board and solder (this is why it is important to check components using a breadboard first). Once all wiring connections have been made, verify all components are functioning correctly.
Create a case for the portable gaming system using the laser cutter.
A template of the case is included. Students can (and are encouraged) to create their own design or remix and customize the included design by engraving or painting their case. Once the case is complete. Install the electrical components into the case. This can be down in a variety of ways, but hot glue works well with the materials.
Explore the provided game source code.
Source code for multiple games has been provided. Students pick the game they would like on their system and load the code onto their Arduino. After they have played the game. Change aspects of the code and reload it to the Arduino to see how it changes the game.
