What we will be doing today

In this section we will explain to the participant what we are going to do in this session.

1- We will build a virtual scene in this day for a Mesharati passing by the neighbourhood, and we need to add the children reactions and also the houses reactions.

Virtual Reality

In this step we will show the participant what is meant by virtual Reality and how this technology works in order to explain its uses.

1- We will start defining what is meant by reality as information represented by symbols or geometric we as human been giving it the meaning it have.

2- Then we will define what is meant by virtual as things are not touchable, but we may hear or see, and we could have a feeling towards it but still physically un-existing.

3- Then we will show participant how reality and virtual differs from each other, and they may look the same.

4- Then we will link the two meanings together “Virtual Reality” where it is a computer generated environment that built to persuade the human mind that it do exist.

5- Then we will show the participant a video of a built environment using this technology.

Video Link

6- Then we will show the participant how this technology works.

  • As we need to start by building the needed environment using a sketch program
  • Then we need to add the settings that make a meaning to the scene we created
  • Then we have to use the right equipment to see the scene with the settings we built.

7- Then we will present the uses of this technology in real life.

  • This technology has widespread uses in education as it cheap somehow and versatile in delivering the information.
  • Also, it’s widely used in medical field as some hospital uses it as a practical training before executing the operation on the patient.
  • In Industry also it is used in training the new employee and also helps in delivering the instructions to the maintenance team (sound and video) with the ability to interact.

Practice

In this section we will explain the scene we need to create on Co-Space.

1- The scene will talk about the arrival of the Mesaharati to the neighbourhood and how the kids will interact with his present.

2- The scene will show the different actions the kids and families usually do after Iftar to the Suhoor time.

3- The scene will show the Mesaharati words he says when hitting the drums.
